This document covers how to convert the lightweight agent into a probe agent.
Prerequisites
Discovery Settings and Credentials are required before you start the instruction below.
Instructions
Choose a company from the company selector drop-down
Tap the Agents module under Overview
Tap the three-dot Action menu and choose Map Discovery Settings and Credentials next to the agent you wish to convert to probe.
Select the Discovery Settings for the probe to use during it’s scan
Select the Credentials for the probe to use during it’s scan
Tap the Save button to apply your settings. The conversion process will begin automatically and generally should take 2-3 minutes to complete.
The agent must be online to complete this conversion process
Be sure to check your Scheduler (Global)archived and create an automatic scan job for your probe.
The probe scan should run once per day as a best practice.
