Report Builder(Beta)

 

CyberCNS provides the ability to build your own custom reports using a simple “drag and drop” paradigm. These can be saved as “templates” and the CyberCNS Report Builder (Beta) allows you to run reports with these templates.

To start with navigate to Global Setting> Report Builder (Beta) (Note: Global settings icon is on the bottom left of the page of the Global View page.)

Add Report Templates

  • In Report Builder(Beta) click on the '+' button to begin the process of creating the reports.

  • Report Template is divided into three sections, Blocks, Report template editor, and Filters for making your reports.

  • There are eight blocks readily available to help you to build your reports. These are Generic, AD Audit, Active Directory, Assets, Remediation Plan Block, Asset Level Compliance, Compliance, and Vulnerability. These blocks are used to simply drag and drop capability which further has filters to create your own report.

  • When one of the blocks is selected, for that particular block different filters can be used to modify the report templates.

Here are some different filters which can be used for editing the blocks template.

  • Using Select and Order Table fields, only selected columns will be displayed.

  • Using Sorting, if a particular column is selected that column can be either arranged in ascending or descending order.

  • Using a Date Filter, the particular data filter can be chosen.

  • Using Data Source Filters, by selecting the field name, format field, and format value, the particular table which contains the format value will be displayed.

  • Using Data Source Field Filters by selecting the field name, format field, and selecting the colour of the field, the particular column font colour will be changed to the selected colour.

Generic Block

  • In Generic Block, drag and drop using the Image option will display on the screen.

  • Here the Image can be uploaded as a dynamic company logo to be used in the reports. Once uploaded successfully, select that image to drag and drop to the editor section.

AD Audit

  • AD Audit block has ready tables having data related to AD audit, which can be simply added to Report Template Editor by using drag and drop action.

  • Different filters can be applied to this data to finally get the report of your choice.

Active Directory

  • Active Directory block has ready tables having data related to Active Directory, which can be simply added to Report Template Editor by using drag and drop action.

  • The functionality of the filters is being same as mentioned above, but here Active Directory block is being used to edit the template.

  • The graph can be selected as per the choice to view the Active Directory.

Assets

  • The assets block has ready tables having data related to Assets, which can be simply added to Report Template Editor by using drag and drop action.

  • The functionality of the filters is being same as mentioned above, but here Assets block is being used to edit the template.

Remediation Plan Block

  • The Remediation Plan block has ready tables having data related to Remediation Plan, which can be simply added to Report Template Editor by using drag and drop action.

  • The functionality of the filters is being as same as mentioned above, but here Remediation Plan block is being used to edit the template.

Asset Level Compliance

  • The Asset Level Compliance block has ready tables having data related to Asset Level Compliance, which can be simply added to Report Template Editor by using drag and drop action.

  • The functionality of the filters is as same as mentioned above, but here Asset Level Compliance block is being used to edit the template.

Compliance

  • The Compliance block has ready tables having data related to Compliance, which can be simply added to Report Template Editor by using drag and drop action.

  • The functionality of the filters is as same as mentioned above, but here Compliance block is being used to edit the template.

Vulnerability Block

  • The vulnerability block has ready tables having data related to Vulnerability, which can be simply added to Report Template Editor by using drag and drop action.

  • The functionality of the filters is as same as mentioned above, but here Vulnerability block is being used to edit the template.

  • The graph can be selected as per your choice to view the Vulnerabilities.

  • Once the editing is done, please save the report by clicking on the Save Template button.

  • In the image depicted below, you can enter the report template name of your choice for the report to be saved.

  • Once the report is saved, a pop-up of Successfully added is displayed.

  • Under the Report Templates tab, different templates created by users are listed.

  • In the Action menu, there are four options: Run Report, Clone Template, Edit, and Delete.

  • Using the edit option, can edit the report as per the requirement and delete the option to delete the report.

  • The run report option is used to generate a report.

  • While running the report, choose the company and if needed enable the Date filter as per the choice and click on Submit.

  • Once the report is submitted, pop-up Report execution initiated is displayed.

Generated Reports

  • In the depicted below image, if the report runs successfully, it will show in () and if the report doesn’t run successfully, then it shows in ().

  • The reports which are executed, those reports will be listed under the Generated Reports tab.

  • Using the action column, the report can be downloaded in PDF and DOC format.

  • If required can delete the report as per the requirement.

  • In the depicted below image, if a duplicate copy of the report is needed can choose the option to Clone Template.

  • Enter the report template name for cloning and click on the Clone button.

  • Once the report is cloned, a pop-up Successfully cloned is displayed.

  • This completes the documentation of Report Builder.
