IT Glue - Overview
Integration with IT Glue allows ConnectSecure to automatically sync discovered assets into the IT Glue portal for centralized documentation and asset management.
IT Glue - Getting Started
Log into your IT Glue Portal and Navigate to the Admin Section as shown below.
After clicking the Admin section, you will be taken to the Settings page, where you can select API Keys.
Click the + icon to generate a new API key. This will create a new entry where you can name and Generate the key for ConnectSecure.
ConnectSecure - Setup
Navigate to Global > Settings > Integrations and tap on the IT Document for IT Glue.
Credentials
Give it a name
The IT Glue API Base URL is https://api.itglue.com
Copy the IT Glue API Key generated from your IT Glue Portal
Select the Associated Company/Companies
Click Save
After clicking Save, a message will confirm that the credentials have been saved successfully.
Company Mapping
This is where you will map your Companies.
Choose the Credential
Add the Company
You can either Import Companies from IT Glue or Map existing Company from ConnectSecure Portal to a IT Glue Company.
Once you select the Company mapping click the Next icon.
You will now see your selected Companies.
Select the Local Company and the IT Glue Company then click Add.
After clicking add you will see your added Company and you will want to click Finish.
You will now be able to view your added Mapped Companies.
Once this is completed please use the three dot action menu to Sync Now. This will Sync your ConnectSecure Assets to your IT Glue Portal.
Currently this is on demand sync.
You also have the option to Edit and Delete from the Action menu.
Once sync is completed you will see a message sync completed with the total amount of assets uploaded successfully to IT Glue.
You now can navigate back to your IT Glue portal > Select Organizations > Select the Organization where you mapped your Company to.
Navigate to Configurations and you can now view your Assets that were synced from the ConnectSecure Portal.
