CyberCNS can help bulk install agents using Datto RMM across your network. Current integration capabilities are focused on pushing & installing CyberCNS agents across the organization.

  • Login to the Datto RMM instance as an administrator. ( This is an Old Interface)

  • To add a CyberCNS agent installation script, a new Component is to be created. In the case of datto RMM is to be used for installing CyberCNS Lightweight agent, create 2 separate components for each OS (separate components for MacOS and Windows). Respective scripts for MacOS and Windows, which are ready to be used with datto can be downloaded from location CCNS.

  1. Follow the steps below to create Components.

  • Navigate to Components on the top main menu.

  • Click on New Component under Actions to create a new component.

  • Enter the details below to create a component (software/scripts) that can be used for deployment to a device or a group of devices.

🔸 Name a Component, to help you understand what it will do.

🔹 Add Description of this component for understanding what will be a use of this component.

🔸 Click on the drop-down of the category and select Scripts.

  • The next step is to select Sites to deploy agents. As per requirement, please select All Sites OR Selected Sites where the CyberCNS agent is to be deployed. These Sites are already present in Datto RMM.

  • After selecting Sites, select the Script Type.

  • For Apple Mac devices, select Unix (Linux, Mac OSX) as a Script Type.

  • For Windows devices, select Powershell as a Script Type.

  • CyberCNS has a ready script to be copied here into the Scripts section.

  • The next is Variables. Under Variables, values of Company ID, Client ID, Client Secret and CyberCNS domain URL will be fetched once Datto RMM credentials are shared in CyberCNS under Integrations.

  • Every company in CyberCNS will have different values for Company ID, Client ID, and Client Secret which will be created as a variable in datto.

  • To save the component created, click on Save at the end.

  • Once the Component is Saved successfully, it will be listed under the Component List.

  1. Once the Component/s are ready, jobs should be created so as to run as per schedule/immediately as it is set.

  2. To create a Job to run using Component/s created, navigate to Jobs from the top main menu. Select New Job.

  • General Section of Job will require to Name the Job for understanding purpose.

  • Schedule it Immediately OR Click to Change the schedule.

  • Click to Change schedule will ask to choose the frequency of the job getting created.

  • e.g. If selected immediately, the job will run immediately after you successfully create it.

  • The next step is to add Job Targets. Click on Add Targets to select the type as devices/group of devices etc.

  • Target Type can be selected as per requirement. Here choose Devices as to select devices from the list where CyberCNS Agent is to be deployed OR select Default Device Filters and search by windows to list all windows.

  • Select Sites to target from the list where CyberCNS agent is to be deployed.

  • Target Type can be selected as per requirement. Here choose Devices as to select devices from the list where CyberCNS Agent is to be deployed OR select Default Device Filters and search by Mac to list all Mac OS.

  • Select Sites to target from the list where CyberCNS agent is to be deployed.

  • In case Target Type is selected as Device(s), where CyberCNS Agent to be deployed can be selected from the list populated.

  • Once Target is set, click on Add a Component.

  • This will populate already created Components to choose from. Select a component created for CyberCNS Agent installation and Save.

🔸 The next step is to add, Advanced Options of your choice as below:

  • Set the Expiry of the job

  • Set the Duration of the job

  • Into Execution, select as the logged-in user must have Administrator Rights.

  • Set the Alerts conditions

  • Select output choices and mention the job recipients as default OR Additional as needed.

  • Click on Save so as to successfully save this job.

  • Once the job is saved, it will be listed under Active Jobs.

  • Completed jobs can be seen under the Completed Jobs section. To get the job status, click on the job name from the Completed jobs list.

  • You can view the status of the job as below. In case it is successful, it will show to view standard output (Stdout).

  • Stdout for the successful job will be as below, showing CyberCNS Agent installation is successful.

  • In case of an error, it will showcase an error faced under (Standard Error) Stderr.

  • This completes the Datto RMM.
